I haven't run into any issues, if your socket has a detent hole vs pockets it may be easier to just not line up the hole with the pin, the socket still stays on pretty solidly.

Detent pin tho.. If you aren't working at heights with this tool, then I'd pass on the detent pin setup as it's a pain in the @$$ for everyday use.
