I don't have the Samsung, but I do have the SX8200 512GB, running my Arch Linux Ryzen 2700x build. The machine boots in less than 5 seconds. You have time to see *maybe* one or two boot messages...

The SX6000 Pro relies on HMB (host memory buffer - system memory as DRAM cache) and has only a four-channel controller. Different category of drive.

yeah I have a 256gb and I barely install anything on it and it'll take up half the drive. I have "Steam" quality 2TB and 1TB SSDs for games and a 500gb 7200rpm drive that's going on 9 years now ! so...

I personally found 256 GB a bit constraining for Windows 10 + regular applications + Steam/Uplay games and added a 1 TB SSD. 512 GB would be much more flexible unless you need to have a dozen AAA...
