One advantage of 32GB DDR4 (2X16gb)is that it is dual-rank, can show slight improvement in speed on AMD if also dual channel (2X sticks) vs 4X because the paths all go to the same place (the CPU)...

Just an FYI most people don’t even need 32gb. Unless you’re running vm’s or doing some heavily video editing your computer won’t run any faster. I think Linus did a test showing 16gb was sweet spot...

Thanks for the promising feedback; I'd read that Micron memory wasn't the best for overclocking but your results seem to indicate otherwise! Perhaps the more recent Micron memory has improved on this...

I'm not sure how well they would play. B-Die finder says the ones you have are Samsung B-die. There is a better chance that what you have can slowdown (slower CAS) than the Ballistix can speed...

These Flare X are B-die (https://benzhaomin.github.io/bdiefinder/) and should be much better than model in this topic. You probably cannot pair them together and get highest speed on both of them.
