I haven't checked it in a bit but when the problem came up that was the first thing I checked - the filter and coils. It was pretty much spotless, nothing to clean out. It's an unfinished basement...

Just about any unit with an internal pump will also have a gravity drain.

Clean the filter and coils maybe? They do collect crap, especially in unfinished spaces. I keep my Frigidaire dehu dusted out with compressed air. Bought in 2012, still works fine.

I know Costco has Whirlpool 70 pint dehumidifier for like $180. Built in pump and can use condensate pump if internal pump dies. Cheaper with costco rebate or utility. PSEG LI gives out $25-50 rebate...

I had a 50 pint that got the FO code after less than a year. Moved, and kinda forgot about it. Found it while cleaning the spring and plugged it in. Ran for a bit. then shutoff, FO again. Found...

I did buy it, and it's working fine, so far. I bought it 100% because of Costco's return policy, if it craps out. I don't read Costco's 90-day limitation on "electronics" to cover a dehumidifier. ...

Purchased similar Frigidaire 70 pint model January 2017 using money from a previous 50 pint that was recalled due to fire hazard. The 50 pint still worked, but the 70 pint gave the F0 code after one...

Adding my 2 cents. Frigidaire products are garbage and service is the worst. I had one that barely lasted a year and regret the purchase.

My dehumidifier, same model, stopped to collect water (did collect very little) this summer. Look around WWW and then disassemble it. I am confident that it lost refrigerant gas(r410a, a quite...

How about you connect it through a plug (/switch) that you can turn on/off via remote (IR/wifi) to control the runtime?

Probably not because if the built in pump isn't running, the board detects that and the whole thing doesn't run. I have a Fridgidaire from Best Buy that sort of died after a year. Throws an F0...

never buy a dehumidifier with a built in pump. they use very cheap parts and will fail in a short period of time. if you need to pump the water out (into a sink or outside) get a condensate pump...

Same, mine collects about an inch of water in a day. I have two other Frigidaires from 20 years ago. Buckets are full on those everyday. But I want one to run continuously to the drain.
