Can you use this to beat/whip eggs as well? I sometimes have small recipes that call for two or three beaten eggs that would be nice to put in a small bowl and use something similar to this.

I second the IKEA frother. The whole family has been using ours almost weekly for nearly a decade without problems. Alkalines and NiMH batteries all work fine.

I don't have this one, but the nice thing is that the whisk is detachable. I have had an aerolatte style one for a long time and you have to remember to rinse it immediately and let it dry flat....

I use an electric frother everyday for my coffee and tea. I definitely recommend getting a rechargable frother rather than battery operated. You can find them for like $10 on AMZ or eBay. Less weight...
