Instead run a VPN server on your router ( example some ASUS routers already have a VPN server software...

I don't have one of these systems, but I assume you would just need to know which ports to open on your router.

Anybody has one of their systems? I've read reviews about their app that you can't view the live video if you're outside of your house wifi.

imho Definitely worth the time to go with a wired system if you own the house and plan to keep it for awhile.

I do not trust WiFi for my core system, so
If you can go with a wired IP PoE system that would be more reliable on the longer term.
( you will still have to pull the power wires...
