True, can't beat that price for sure. Competition is great for everyone in this realm.

Yea well, in some ways these things are still catching up with plasmas, but for the price it's about as good as it gets, next tier up is almost double the price.

Ok, I stand corrected that the color is indeed improved, but the hdr is very lacking just as with last year's M series. It does have a pretty good color gamut according to rtings: "The Vizio M Series...

Its either quantum dot or not no? So the difference is just a number?

Yep, according to RTings.com: "The Quantum X has a slightly wider color gamut. The Quantum X has nearly double the local dimming zones, and although the overall performance is similar, the new...

Can you tell me why 2019 PX quantum is better than 2018 PQ? Rtings has the 2019 rated .1 higher

I don't believe that is correct, you might be getting confused about the differences between the **7 and **8 series like m557 and m558. G0 and G1 are just retailer differences.

You got the better model, and $399 is a good price for it (runs about $450 in most other places). The title in this listing shows the incorrect model number, it should be M507-G0. Usually Best Buy...

Someone posted a comment on one of SD Vizio M series 4K tv saying the M0 has less dimming zones than the M1 where it has 60 or above.

I was told the same thing. Just returned the original tv and they suddenly decided they “could” price match.

If you have furniture constraints and can’t go above 50”, it doesn’t get much better than this. Most of the premium tv features start at 55”. This is the only one at 50” with multiple backlights,...

No, this quantum is all a marketing rebrand for the M-series.

MXX8 = Higher-end model with 90 dimming zones and 600 nit peak brightness MXX7 = Lower-end model with 16-20 dimming zones and 400 nit peak brightness

Oh I know. I was only commenting that it was annoying that they do so. Good point on the potential slight differences though. Hadn’t thought of that.

You have the answer posted.. right above your question: Big retailers primarily use proprietary model numbers to keep people from price matching. Costco sometimes takes its a step further. In...

So annoying that they do this. Even though it’s the same TV they made me sound like an idiot over the phone trying to justify it. Wound up getting nowhere as they said they could do nothing for me.

Why big retailers have proprietory part numbers.

Bought this from Best Buy a week ago for 399. They won’t price match because Best Buy’s sight has it listed as M507-G1 and Costco has it listed as M507.

2019 PX Quantum > 2018 Quantum PQ> 2018 P-Series > 2019 Quantum M-Series

Yeah, I hate what Vizio did with the M series this generation. Having a single line with 2 vastly different quality sub lines in it is just so stupid, especially when they are shipping these to...
