+1. People here are in some cases way overestimating performance needs of typical users. I recently bought a laptop having 8th gen i3 which will easily meet the needs of many users in this thread.

I have both this and the xps13. The design is much better with surface, which also feels more refined in use. The XPS had very bad killerman wifi card that I had to replace with a intel wifi card....

Top of the line, last gen hardware... The only thing that is a deal breaker is the lack of USB C, which will probably make this thing really show its age in a couple of years.

Nobody is saying this is a bad laptop. It's just a bad deal compared to what's out there in the same price range. The Best Buy Surface 2 deal with double the cores and half the memory is way better...

It's not obsolete but offers terrible value. You can get laptops that will outdo this in every front for $700 or maybe even less. The CPU is weak as hell, there are Chromebooks that can easily...
