Have had bad luck with Hunter fans. They used to be great but a 3 year old one just died on me and Hunter would not honor the warranty (which covers the motor but not the power supply). Save money...

They have a lifetime warranty on the motor, which is nice. One of mine died after two years they sent me a replacement pretty easily.

Low profile refers to the distance to the ceiling. I need a hugger but their options are very limited on this site.
