This is a pretty good deal from B&H, no tax free shipping for an EVGA card with a giant air cooler: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1432504-REG/evga_11g_p4_2383_kr_geforce_rtx_2080_ti.html

Prices are a little inflated but they also don't depreciate as fast either. In two years, this card will still probably be worth at least $600 on the used market. The 2080 Ti has been on the...

Part of the reason is the chip size but for features not necessary today. It's like you donate money to develop next gen game features.

Ya it's nuts how high they got. I remember when $400 bought you the top tier nVidia card so I'd always get the mid tier for $300 which was high enough imo. Now you got $1k+ cards, that's completely...

Spending $1k on a video card, and having the failure rate as high as what the recent reviews indicate is very very disturbing. Why is it that so few Nvidia cards go on sale when there is a...

That's not the reason the price is crazy expensive. The reason is because they have no real competition. AMD hasn't been able to compete with nVidia at the high end for several years now.

I have the EVGA version of this, but 1080 Ti. Kind of tempted at this price for 30-50% gains, but can’t justify it since I’m only playing FFXIV which doesn’t require such a beefy GPU. When will the...

It's not going to happen. It's like complaining about Ferrari's being too expensive. It's just not going to come down in price because there's a market for it.

The $2500 Titan RTX released in Dec 2018 uses the same TU102 chip but with all cores unlocked, higher clock and more memory. It's only about 10% faster than a 2080 Ti. If they released a 2080 Ti...

No kidding... $500 is already a lot of money for a GPU. Sure there's inflation, but nVidia's pricing on the 2000 series is simply gouging.

Come on man. They are ripping us off. Everyone should stop buying this overpriced junk so OEM can get to their senses with GPU prices.

At this price I would still get a Evga product just because their warranty and CS is so good.
