If you use more of these one across the globe within your family or friends, you can use directly its obi number to dial, thus not needing to use google voice as well.

It should. That's how we talk to a couple family members in the military overseas. One in South Korea, the other in Germany, though we usually use the Google Voice app on our phones.

You can use a WiFi range extender that has an Ethernet port in the office you want to use it in or add a second router to your network if it can be configured as a mesh network.
