For cheap, I'd recommend Asrock B450m Pro4. It can handle the 105w cpu very well. You can buy other ones, just make sure there is heatsink on the VRMs.

Anyone recommend a decent motherboard for this? I was thinking of using the same ASRock b450 steel legend that I used for my parents Ryzen 5 build.

It’s $179 at micro center. If you combine with a motherboard, ssd or ram combo an additional $30 is off. That would be a steal. The price to performance will make this a hell of a deal for...

So buying video games from cdkeys.net is OK, buying Microsoft monopoly spyware OS from ebay is wrong. OK.

Agreed. Just saw two cheap PSUs fail on friends' computers. They only lasted a couple of years before burning out. They're not really saving money by going cheap.

Were I in your shoes, I'd buy the replacement Dell mobo on ebay for cheap ($20 to $30 used). Or, I'd buy an aftermarket mobo that fits all the components you already have and the Dell case. You...

The "X" is just marketing to squeeze another $50 from people. The vanilla 2700 OCs easy - if you even need it (and for games you dont). Plus the "X" is almost double the TDP of the vanilla 2700. In...

3600 if overclocked is as fast the 2700x. But you ll get better performance since more cores introduces extra latatency.
