I was wondering the same thing. But I did make an offer at Greentoe, which only uses authorized retailers and they put in a counter offer of $2,295. So that may be an option for you.

How far are you sitting from the TV? I have a 10.5' viewing distance and am eyeing an 85". According to rtings (and best buy personnel) it's too big. But I already got a 75" and felt it was too small.
