it's a feature, so your $20 keyboard don't last 30 years. kind of like german car has plastic coolant pipes, and will break just around 10 years.

Working on monitor in low lighting condition is bad for eyes, though it's not directly related to ergo, it's kinda against the principle of ergonomic.
And in my case, I don't look at my keyboard...

Take a look at Kinesis Edge or Pro models. A coworker of mine has the Edge at work and I have the Pro at work. Mine has Cherry Browns. Best keyboard I've ever had. Not cheap though.

I agree with this, I would totally buy a backlit one at this price. Backlit is mandatory for me nowadays. It doesn't just look cool (which it does) but it is actually very useful in low light...

I agree. It's pretty hard compared to other keys. It helps to click it down as close to the center as possible but the reach is big because of the split down the center of the keyboard.
