It never bothered me to swipe up, use the eye scanner and tap. Sounds like you have issues with yours but here's the best part... I have no time to convince anyone to agree with me.

It's not a swipe, you have to open the app then authenticate in the app (fingerprint/pin etc). Nice try.
You can also just swipe your card to "pay for everything", and it's faster and easier.

Welcome! But i did want to fix my incorrect date: my youngest was born in 2009, so my first S3 was in early 2012.

Galaxy s3 was out in 2012. I got a pair from tmo shortly after release. One of them only lasted two years. A sudden death. Can't power it on.

Same situation, In fact I prefer to use apple pay. I'd say 10 seconds faster. and more secure. No one ever sees my actual card info and I don't have to wait sometimes ages for the stupid chip...
