x3600h is also expandable to 11.2 with an external amp. Specs wise, x3600 is closer to Marantz sr6013 which retails for around ~$900

I would say this. The Denon includes the Audyssey MultEQ XT32 room measurement system to level your speakers and has 8 HDMI inputs, where the Yamaha only has 5. I've owned both Denon and Yamaha...
