Prices no longer valid. This deal was fine if you only need 25 ft max, but local box stores are better priced once you hit 100ft or greater.

This 14/2 wire should be fine for most lighting, especially lower wattage LED lighting on a 15amp circuit. But it really all depends on the combined wattage draw on the particular circuit. 15 amp...

Exactly this. Why in the world would I waste the money on 12/2 for just overhead lighting? Especially if it's a dedicated lighting circuit.

This, I had to go back and re-do every single outlet in my 15 year old home because they used the push inserts and started failing... All of the electrical gremlins I went through prior to that....

This is a great deal if you only need 25 feet. I have plenty of 12/2 and didn't want to waste it for a light fixture... so yes.. $5 fits the bill perfectly if you don't need 250 feet. Thanks OP!
