The quality of USB-C cable connections seem to be much better! The USB-micro cables were prone to crap out. The little clips that keep it connected always seemed to break on mine... fingers crossed...

For what it's worth... AliExpress has cables for under $3 shipped that have 3 attachments - USB C, micro-USB, and lightning. Probably not fast charge or anything like that, and definitely doesn't...

Don't know if their USB-C ones are better, but the USB-micro b ones I tried ended up in the trash. Poor connectivity issues with just about anything I tried to use them with and they couldn't...

I've had these particular ones for over a year and would consider them better than average. I like that they're fairly flexible compared to other cheaper "cloth" cables that are annoyingly stiff....

It just depends on the device and the amp/voltage they draw. Not at all fast charge protocols are made equally. Motorola, OnePlus, Huawei. FYI USB 3 can transfer more power.

If you are talking about charging speed. I don't think this is true. The USB 2.0 only pertains to data transfer, not charging speed. I use Anker 2.0 cables and get Fast Charging on my samsung...

Go back to your $1 cables. Nobody is stopping you. With USB C, cheap cables can cause damage. These are highly rated cables, 6 feet cables at $3.50 isn't bad.
