Most people can't take advantage of HDR to begin with, you need a source with that encoding.
You also need a tv with a bright enough output to not make it a joke, and that doesn't happen at this...

HDR is nothing to do with resolution. Upscaling is something else. HDR is about color. With HDR the TV is able to show different colors which you never saw before on a TV.
