Any fix for this? Turn brightness all the way up? Less contrast? Would watching in 60hz instead of 120 make it better or worse? (I'm not sure that's even an option, I'll have to check the manual)

Look at the rtings review, this thing has a very low PWM frequency. Some people get eye strain and headaches from low PWM frequencies. You will most likely need to get a different TV.
