From what I see that pretty much the difference between the two... appearance and size. The GAF685 comes with a few more accessories and is sold by Costco so the return policy is a plus as well.

We must have gotten lucky because ours has done pretty well. I also wash it with a softer rag bc of the coating though. Anything not delicate gets a rough scrubber.

Got the 5qt from costco, teflon comes off the grate easily and the rubber feet disappear easily. No available replacement for either afaik short of returning to costco. other than that, love it
