Still using my light action Samurai 8 years later! Even used it on saltwater, forgetting to rinse many times over years, still casting and reeling like a champ! Caught flounder and lady fish...

Got these when they were 2 for $20 last year. Not a bad beginner rod. Better than the Shakespeare navigator for the same price. I'd even use this with some light braid and use frogs on the pads for...

Just walked to my garage for you. In past years, the 5'6" has been combo'd w/ a 1500. The 6' Lady has been combo'd w/ a 2000. The 6'6" has been combo'd w/ a 2500. And the 7' has been combo'd w/ a...

Trying to find reel size, If these are the 2500 it’s a pretty good deal. The 1500 is too small for my fishing. I have some I bought years ago that still work good. And you don’t have to worry about...

Getting one for the saltwater kayak. Anybody know the reel size and line rating/capacity for the light and medium actions?

Not only were they $10, but the older reels on those combos from 5? years back had an anti reverse switch! These newer ones don't. If that's important to you.... (is to me). For what it's...

I got 4 last year for the kids and 3 of the reels are broke already.. probably used 3 times before they basically fell apart

It'll last long enough for Dick's to clearance these out again next winter. It never makes much sense to buy a decent reel for a budget combo rod.

Ordered them last year and I regret it the reels are poor quality. Buy a Zebco from Walmart instead. If you do buy go to dicks to have them strung for 50% off well worth it.

Great deal should be perfect for crappie fishing.

You can catch some monster bass on these. They are fresh water only but for $15 wash them off with a hose and you'll get more than your money's worth out of them. Spool them up with some cheap 5...
