I have this model and I love it. It makes the best cup of coffee, IMO. I paid 275 for mine at the Pottery Barn/Williams & Sonoma outlet store. This is definitely a good deal.

I think both have their pros and cons. Neither are great for holding coffee long term. For people actually interested in something like this a warmer plate under the glass carafe is a nonstarter....
