I agree. I'm not thrilled with the inferior design (spout spills) and poor quality (markings rub off) of Pyrex either; but Anchor Hocking has the same issues, and Pyrex glass seems to be better...

They always enclose warnings that they can't handle extreme temperature changes. I have Pyrex and have never experienced a problem. No chipping or breaking either.
