You should have received an email immediately after with a code to purchase directly from amazon. When you add to cart and enter the promo code the dot goes down to free.

I did the $96/year (plus taxes) w/echo dot for 12 months. I used to pay for 2 radios, but now I just pay for one w/streaming and use Apple Car Play to stream in the other. Works great and cheaper.
