I don't think they connect via bluetooth, otherwise there probably would be any cut outs. I think they just mass blast frequencies, which I think also happens on the satellite speakers.

No, it was a Sony. All the problems presented were not due to the connection with tv, but rather defects stemming from the soundbar.
