Stock still comes and goes. I got one today. 3800 image is not comparable to this 5040UB if you have a dark room.

I have an old Mitsubishi 1500 720 dlp that I haven't used in a long time. But I loved it when I did. Watched at 100 inches. What's the biggest difference between dlp and the other technologies?

I am trying to buy my first projector for my home. I am quite a novice when it comes to projectors. The room where this goes is somewhat moderately bright. Is this a good fit for me?

This is an excellent projector. I have the 6040UB (same performance) and the picture on my 140 inch screen is beautiful. Highly recommended.

Oh no my bad I have the 5040 so I misread you. It’s very possible the 5050 does this. I never understood how epson missed this feature or never firmware released for the 5040.

I could have sworn that was a feature of the 5050 when it was released. I was agonizing over whether to upgrade or not when it was released and havent really kept up on it since I decided not to...

Totally worth it if you are going to spend decent time using it. Anyone would immediately feel the difference. I have Netflix and Prime. These days I enjoy watching on projector than 4k TV.

I gave a good search across and couldn't find any active rebates. They should be listed here if they are any - https://epson.com/estore-rebate This is the form I used in the past (expired, just in...

I have to manually turn HDR on when I watch Netflix or a source that has it. What’s the secret to having that work automatically? I would love that. I’m always loading between two memory presets on...

Went ahead and ordered this. I had the 5030UB for 5 years, it is due for a new bulb soon and I have a really annoying blue line that shows up from time to time on it. I wanted to get the 5050 but its...

Just as a follow up to my post, I am personally passing on this. I am going to be putting a PS5 on this later down the road and the 10gpbs limitation is going to affect the frame rates there. So if...

I went with the 5050ub for the 4k60 option. I dont upgrade often, my last projector was a Panasonic from 2012 so I figured it would be worth the differences. I got it for $2400 shipped from parker...

It comes down to what you want. Do you want that 110 - 150" screen for that theater feeling at home? Or do you want the brighter and possibly sharper image? (Thats not to say that the 5040 has a bad...

Yeah I guess I wasn't too clear in my post but I am very satisfied with the upgrade, especially since my 2045 died out of warranty after a lightning storm. I think I need to spend a bit more time...
