You had to turn on auto renew in order to qualify for gift card & coupon -- once you got both you were free to turn it off I turned off my auto renew long time ago after I got my GC/coupon

Same here. Is the $40 online code sent by email? If so, is it sent to the email associated with the groupon account, or the email associated with the Costco account? Mine are different.
