No. Nowhere near the same. Jigsaw has a huge kerf and no way can you cut straight or accurate because of vibration and unsupported blade. You can do it with a coping saw but the same inaccuracy.

The Ryoba is has no spine which makes it great for flush cuts and through cuts. The spine on the back of the Dozuki makes it stiffer, better for shallow joinery cuts.
