i got this and like it, but for a specific purpose. mount it to the top of my dash directly on top of the speedometer to have my phone pretty much on top of the steering wheel. surprisingly works...

my car also is hard to find a spot, and my dashboard is textured so things don't stick well. Vent clips, i personally don't like those . In the winter, your Heater will be blowing onto the phone...

I been using this for 3 months and love it. Surface has to be flat and the tape pad that goes on dash has to sit for 24 hrs. Before attaching suction cup to it. Also make sure its a clean surface....
