I use to have the same "welding" issue among nozzles, faucets, hoses, etc. until I started using teflon tape to make a barrier between threads. No more stuck threads! Try it.

Thanks for the tip. This thing is aluminum, so I'm sure it has to do with corrosion of dissimilar metals. A few wraps of teflon tape when installing should help avoid corrosion.
