I did both. Doesnt matter just go to ShopSamsung to signup. I got my credits approved but it will take several weeks to become effective..

Went to Best Buy and no $700 for my S9, only $300 credit... Not good. Update: Went to ATT, got pre Order 700 credit for trade in S9, with is worth $100, so Rebate should be $800 for 30 month....
