After using it some I'm not crazy about the slide switch that turns it on and increases the speed. I rather there be an on /off switch and a dial switch that locks in each speed.

Not all brand name tools are equal. Not all Chinese knockoff tools are equal. Certainly, not all brand name tools are the equal of the knockoffs just because they are made in a factory in China....

Your most likely correct. I don't own an angle grinder. Oscillating tool by Porter was my second multi tool. It covered a huge area of needs even if they weren't always the ideal tools.

Frankly I think an angle grinder with an an abrasive cut off disk would be the easiest and most economical for doing a lot of nails. Anything w teeth would wear down fast.

Actually it could be easier. A oscillating tool would be better like QuestorJones above you pointed out. I'm not saying that a Dremel couldn't do it. Just that I would buy one for that purpose.
