Very likely, it would be great for opening packages, cutting string, and light duty stuff, but if you need a full handed grip for heavy work I don't think this is ideal.

Love this knife. Initially thought it would be too small but it just about does everything on a normal "urban" day. It fits in the tiny pants pocket WITH a small flashlight and with room to spare.
