I have used this cooler on numerous builds. It would be fine "as is" since you are not planning to OC. That being said, others have provided suggestions for better coolers for about the same price....

You do not want to buy this no matter how cheap it is. Go get a Vetroo V5 or ID-Cooling SE-224-XT for $25 flat, no rebate BS etc. They work much better.

How does the Vetroo V5 w/ ARGB @ $25 compare to this? The Vetroo has 5 heat pipes vs the 4 heat pipes on the 212, so theoretically it would do better. Does anyone have experience with both coolers?

Great deal for the Hyper 212, but I ended up going with the Be Quiet Pure Rock Slim which has comparable, if not slightly better performance, and it's only $2 more w/o MIR
