No problem... they are $$$ but they're freaking amazing! I've never seen them on sale. I've experimented with sharpening them a few times, and your comment reminded me that last time I sharpened...

Funny you mentioned that, I got a Porter Cable set of forstner bits for cheap at Lowe's a few years ago. I too was surprised how well they work, and have held up as well! Now about Hart tools,...

Ya'know, I might grab some of the Diablo's to check out. I'm not a fan of Diablo (selling such soft carbide at those prices???) But they were only $20, so I figure I can test them, and if I don't...

Ahhh yes. Sarcastic play on the indoctrination of "Team Bigotry" lol. Every tool, has their tool, but no tool is as cool as that of the TOOL of The Reverend Maynard! Lol. Hey, I use...

Yes, but these are *Milwaukee*, and thus the finest spade bit available! Not only that, they are *high speed spade bits*, and every one knows the higher speed, the better hole—especially the larger...

I got a set of Diablo bits a while back (it was a smaller set I think the 6 piece plus 2 bonus one) and I used it to run some wire through 2x4's in my shop and was impressed with how well they cut. ...

Personally... I use the Wood Owl bits. I use these (Auger styles) for pretty much everything wood. Augers are simply the best for boring. The speed bits are fast, but they can be monsters on...

I'm yet to watch the video, but from your comment, I can assume it was the VCG channel? Those dingus's are to tools what the show "Ancient Aliens" is to History. Lol. But I could be wrong......

Generally, I agree. Spade bits = hand drill for quick & dirty holes, forstners = drill press w/ more precision, clean edges & bottom. I also prefer the Bosch Daredevil style if I need a spade. Not...

Speedbor bits are too aggressive; if the chuck is turning the bit is advancing. Forstener for clean, flat bottom holes. I’ll stick with spade bits for boring holes in studs.

For $20 it is worth the price. These will always have a place someones tool chest. Yes other options are more expensive, and well worth the price, though good tools occasionally are.
