The Kobalt line is made by Chervon. Chervon is similar to TTI (Ryobi, Ridgid, Milwaukee) in that Chervon makes power tools for lots of brands, including GreenWorks.

That is true for the 40, 60, and 80v yard and garden tools. I believe that their 24v power tools are made by Chervon.

Kobalt is made by GreenWorks. So if you like GreenWorks you should like Kobalt. I just have never had luck with GreenWorks tools.
