Try clearing your local cache or deleting your saves and resyncing. Is it on external? Try moving to internal hard drive.
Also if it's a 60fps glitch you might have to disable 60fps when to buy...

im not sure if its my system or what, with sleeping dogs there is a annoying glitch anytime you buy things like food or clothes the game freezes on you so I don't recommend this game for series X

Sleeping dogs is an outstanding game, I’ve personally replayed it twice, once when it came out and again with the next gen updates in the definitive edition. Can’t recommend the game enough.
