this is not your regular start up setup. The HMG is a very sensitive rod and the limited lifetime warranty certainly helps.

Fenwick HMG rods are for finesse fishing. Super sensitive and very accurate casting. Using a lure, plastic or otherwise. Most surf, pier, and saltwater in general doesn't really apply to these rods...
