I bought this monitor and the 4k version as well. I returned the 4k one and kept the 1440p. Honestly text looked too small on the 4K one and increasing the size of everything seemed pointless to me....

That's MacOs issue. You can't really have native 4k on a monitor with MacOs, because the UI elements would be super tiny. What happens when you have a 4k monitor with Mac, it's showing the picture...

Besides not having a very high refresh rate, the response time on this monitor is slow, which also makes it not ideal for gaming. Furthermore, it does not support Freesync or G-sync. I own this...
