I haven't seen many reports of this. I wouldn't put too much stock into someone filing a suit. That doesn't mean much. If you look at the complaint it mentions just a few other reports of this.

Although I love it, I recently replaced my 28-75 with Tamron 28-200 f2.8-5.6 and like the latter better as a all-in-one travel lens. Totally depends on your use case.

The 24-105 GM lens is awesome. It's my one size fits all lens and I don't think I need another lens anytime soon. I was able to get one for a little less than $800 used from Amazon.

Still a great camera but the color science is off. It's improved with the A7siii and A1 but still not like Canon. I don't get what's so hard to get it right since it should be software related.

I would check reviews for the a7c before pulling the trigger on that. It has some significant ergonomic differences. The viewfinder and grip are much smaller.
