Gigabyte Aero laptops have unfortunately had thermal throttling issues the last few generations and this is no exception. It's even worse than the Dell G5s and M15s.

If you’re paying $2k+, you should be going with a known quantity like Alienware, Omen, Razer, etc. The specs on this Gigabyte are there but the track record is not.

FYI the 3080 is Max-Q with TDP at 115W (incl. boost) and 8GB VRAM. At this price point + doing a rebate I would not be happy getting something like that.
