I don't trust fakespot. These roughly $1.50/each knives are NOT for "rigorous" use. I'm sure there are defective knives out there. I know mine are holding up VERY well and don't leave coating...

Well to each his own then because I've looked at several sets of these on Amazon and they all have 4.8+ stars with an 'insufficient' rating on fakespot because the reviews are just overwhelmingly...

I ordered a set of these the last time they went on sale. I was surprised at how sharp they were out of the box. You won't be shaving with them but they have a nice edge. I figured for the price...

Lol. I've owned these for at least 6-7 years. I keep them sharp and use them at least twice a week. Of course the coating comes off along the edge where you sharpen them. What would you expect to...

Lol. There was a time when people actually had facts to back up their statements. Show us the data that these cause CANCER.

You can sharpen these but the coating comes off and in your food. Cancerous to say the least…

These are garbage knives. This deal constantly gets posted here by SD staff and added to the 'promoted' section of the front page. If you find them on Amazon you'll see a ton of 5-star reviews with...

Well, I have hoarder's disease, so I never *really* throw anything away. I just repurpose them for like garage work and stuff. By the time I'm done with something, it's because it's so beaten to shit...

I'd avoid any painted blade. Food will stick to it and it adds resistance. This I can say from experience.
Post #148778020 added 07-29-2021 8:02 AM by NintendoFanGirl in Deal Talk
The edge on these is absolutely colored/coated, the entire blade is. I suppose if you use the sharpener enough you can just 'clean off' the coating and strip it from the sharp part of the blade, but...

Why do these toy-colored knives cost 1/3 of the price of regular stainless steel knives? Shouldn't it be less work to not paint a knife? I.E. cheaper?
Post #148775200 added 07-29-2021 5:51 AM by JimBanville in Deal Talk
Lol. No. I've been using these for YEARS with a knife sharpener. I wipe off the edge after I sharpen to get any residual metal, etc off before I use it.

I bought these knives off Amazon a month or so ago. They're okay, they look like toys, but are quite sharp.
