I think you incorrectly applied Pythagorean theorem, 22.3" is the total (extended) height of the monitor *including the stand*, not the height of the display area

Well, I thought that was a 27" monitor, but the product dimension is 24.1" x 9.1" x 22.3", which refers to a 32" diagonal (including the plastic frame).
