I think you are talking about the pavilion aero 13. The pavilion 15 is made of aluminum completely except for the bottom casing. The variety they have in stock is the 5700u and the fan never spins

I bought the hp with the 5500u. The build quality is junk and the fan constantly spins. It is so much worse overall than my Lenovo flex 5 14. I assume this laptop is similar in build to the flex.
