Both thumbs down for Newegg. They used to be the best sadly. Never buy anything there now.

This is one of the most bizarre opinions! WD Blue is the top of the line SATA SSD drive from WD. They do not make "WD black" SATA SSDs at all. One can just consult this spreadsheet:...

I have this installed in my Ps4 (non Pro) and have had no problems been about a year now. Games load faster (internal) and runs much smoother. Also for have the Samsung Evo in my Ps4 Pro but on the...

No I meant what I said. Performance wise green and blue are about equal. Greens are just quiet/low power consumption. Blues are made as an "average drive for most home users" black is for performance...

This WD Blue is much better. If you can buy it for $80, get it, and return the other one. The price difference between high and low end seems rather minuscule, only $10. CX2 is a DRAMless basic...

Could be completely anecdotal, and I love WD products in general, but this is the only SSD I've had that has ever failed on me. And I used it extremely lightly as a backup storage device inside a...

I didn't say they die, they are just horribly slow in comparison. Although failure are typically higher on the blue line as well

Geez... I already purchased the Crucial MX500 1tb ssd last week. These prices seems to go down as nvme picks up popularity.

I purchased this Team Group 1TB SSD (https://www.newegg.com/team-group-1tb-cx2/p/N82E16820331561) for $70. Would it be in my best interest to return that and purchase a WD instead? I am planning on...

Okay, if you're getting an NVMe drive, I would not recommend the SN550, which is WD's equivalent "Blue" drive, since they swapped out the NAND for QLC. The drive in the OP (in its various sizes/form...

Thanks, there are SATA and NVMe models both on sale. Post could be clearer to identify which versions and sizes are applicable to this deal. Not OP's fault, even the Newegg reviews cite both types.
