What do people recommend instead of this? I only get maybe 6 inches of snow a few times a year but I hate using a snow shovel. Gas seems like a huge cost and hassle storing it for so little snow

Snow Joe's products are crap. Had one of these, and it stopped working after the 7th time. Also if you're going for an electric snow blower, go with the battery powered version,. these corded ones...

They generally are. But this may be better in some use cases like a townhouse or snow blower worthy events happening infrequently. I have a friend with one and it hasn’t been used in 4 years.
