If you have to downgrade ram, the problem is probably a ram stick. I have no plea issues with 16TB

Most likely your DB is corrupt. Check the logs it will show locks and sometimes just bad DB errors. I'd post the logs to the plex forum for help if I were you. The devs are pretty helpful and...

I hear you...However last time I checked freenas, was nowhere close to what you can/do with a solid NAS, agree on the underpowered thing...they put slow cpus in these units.

My personal opinion? Yes. These NAS are too slow and software issues have made it unusable at times. Like many others..I am going PC route and installing freenas or 1 of many others to have solid VM...
