You're sitting around a fire all day. What else is there to do before drinking beer at 10am?

A single pbr tallboy? that sounds like a sad camping trip. If weight is the concern there. Time to start liking bourbon more than beer. 24oz of that will get the job done :) For anyone that cares....

I use mine for back packing. Like someone told me... "Does shaving those ounces matter when you are packing in a 24oz Pabst Blue Ribbon?"

I have this and it is really only good for boiling water. The narrow design doesn't make for the quickest boil, but I've used it plenty and really enjoy it. Love the nested cups.

I'd have all over the cooking set if the cups were metal rather than plastic.

Cook kettle with 2 cups is a great car camping addition. Kinda heavy for backcountry backpacking though. Used a few times; boiling water/soup on a grill over campfire with no issues of warping....

Okay I will say the "adventure camp" set is a solid bit of gear. Not the lightest but if you are starting out a good set to get. I can also say freeze dried coffee has come a long way, some of...

Pretty awesome kit. Pair with a zelph fancee feest alcohol stove and a screen and you're gold for a solid water boiling kit. +1 on the mount hagen as well.

But you need to bring 3x more coffee and an aeropress. OR You could just use freeze-dried coffee, which is actually pretty decent. The bad reputation for "instant coffee" was back when they boiled...

I used to have a coffee shop in Seattle and tried all sorts of coffeemaking tricks during hiking camping sailing but ended up with freeze-dried coffee (Starbucks Via). I can even make one inside the...

I kind of agree and disagree, but my take is: learn how to use a Moka pot well. Like really really well. Once you do, well you get to enjoy the same quality coffee at camp from your Moka pot. All...

I kind of disagree here. If you bring a Ziploc full of coffee, heat up some water and run it through an aeropress you'll get a quality cup of coffee in the morning that takes maybe 1min 20 sec...
