I have the G512 (typing on it right now) and just developed the same issue a month or two ago (double typing). I have to correct like 3 words in every sentence I type.

I have two of these keyboards and love them... Except for this. Multiple keys on both have broken though normal use and taught me to avoid Romer G switches.

Its quieter than cherry browns, but I definitely wouldn't call it quiet. I got the g413 TKL for recently for work and no one has complained but I think it's kind of loud I find it annoying

Just FYI, Logitech keyboards don't support assigning macros to regular keys, or even reassigning them to other functions. You will have to use a 3rd party software like AHK, which may not play nice...
